It was a cold day, so I left Glen at home and took Trek and Krummholz for a short hike. There were a lot of people parked at the trailhead. I was originally planning on wearing a weighted backpack, but decided not to bring it, given the number of cars in the parking lot. I figured I needed to be more lightweight to handle 2 dogs and possibly deal with off leash dogs. We met a few groups of people, some with barking dogs. Krummholz is typically afraid of large barking dogs. However, he was better today, and wagged his tail at some large dogs that were barking at us. Woohoo! Trek did well too, even though dogs ran up to him. We hiked to the mansion ruins and took a break to work on recalls. I didn't have a long line with me, but figured Krummholz would imitate Trek. He's got an ID now, so I feel a little better about dropping a leash to do a little training.
