Parking: Small side road/parking area off of Seven Lakes Drive
This was our first time doing trail maintenance this year. We skipped our spring trail maintenance due to covid/breaking my ankle. We were eager to get back to our section of trail and see how it was doing. We couldn't park at our normal area, because the parking lot was being used as a drive through covid testing area. We found another way in to our trail from the north. We didn't start particularly early, and I can't hike fast. We focused on removing tree branches and trees from our trail, since a recent storm caused a lot of blowdown. We didn't make it to the end of our trail section. It felt so great to be out. We love our little section of trail that we maintain.
This was the start of another hiking break for me. I developed knee pain after the hike, due to a torn meniscus and arthritis. Time to go back under the knife. Ugh. Glen went out 2 more times without me to do additional trail maintenance on our section.
