Winniweta Falls Trail to falls.

Notes:
This required wading (not rock hopping) across the wide Ellis River.
We found the falls disappointing.

Water bowl & dog tie out, at the Frontside Grind
Trek & Moxie at the Frontside Grind - dog friendly outdoor seating. This is our favorite breakfast place.
The coffee is great & we love their Hippy bagels!
While driving to a trail head, we came across our first black bear! It's a bit small in the photo, but it is beteen the 2 sheds in this yard. We pulled over to take photos.
The river crossing is at the very beginning of the trail.
Glen chose to cross barefoot. The bottom is very rocky, so this isn't comfortable.
I crossed wearing my boots. I changed into dry socks on the other side. But my dry socks soon became sopping wet.
My boots are leather and took several days to completely dry out after this.
Putting boots back on.
The trail also intersects ski trails which were not marked on the hiking maps.
Falls
This part of the trail is overgrown. Luckily we had no problems with ticks in NH.
