Our next top was Liliuokalani Gardens, a Japanese garden in Hilo. It was a popular place for locals to go for a walk. It was hot out, so I tried to keep in the shade. We saw our first NeNe (Hawaiian goose), which we had been trying to see. We stopped for a shaved ice after - perfect for cooling off. It's a snow cone, where you get to choose your own flavors.
