December 17th
Today, we had the option of taking a print making workshop with Hugo, the owner of the host hotel, or going off sketching on our own. I decided to take the print making workshop. I haven't done any printing since elementary school! We were told it was beginner friendly, even non-artists could do it. We learned 2 methods of printing, each with 3 passes of ink: yellow first, then red, then blue. It was a ton of fun and stretched my brain in new ways. Hugo was a kind, patient teacher. I have to remind myself; I don't need another hobby!
In the evening, Akalu, Kris, and I went out sketching again.
