All I wanted for today was a day without rain. We got lucky. We got a late start but headed out to Price Lake to do some kayaking. It normally takes just an hour to kayak around the lake, but we took our time, with lots of swimming breaks for Krummholz. His enthusiasm is so funny. He's afraid of falling into the water, but he has the best time. We do practice jumping into the kayak from shallow water (he does really well at this). And we get un-intentional practice getting into the kayak from deeper water when he falls in. We love kayaking there. They only charged us for an hour. Krumm had an awkward dismount at the end, managing to fall in, unsuccessfully tried to get onto the back of Glen's kayak. Jumped into another kayak and climbed over 5 kayaks in the water to get to shore. The kayak shop person must have thought we were all crazy.

After our kayak, I managed to change into dry clothes in a porta potty (luckily a larger one). My kayak gets filled with water from Krummholz jumping in and out of the kayak. We then drove down the road to Moses Cone Manor to finish off a small section of the MST. We hiked from the Cone Manor to Trout Lake on carriage roads. We didn't let Krumm swim at Trout Lake (no swimming allowed signs).
