Our second hike of the day was down the gravel road from the Table Rock / The Chimneys hike. Again, a hot climb to a great view. We didn't stay long at the summit, as we were all hot and tired, and there wasn't much shade. An interesting find - there were some puddles on the summit with tadpoles in them. Neither this hike nor our previous hike had any water crossings, so I was surprised frogs could survive up there. By the end of the hike, I had finished drinking my 2 liters of water. Luckily, our third hike for the day had a visitor center where we could get more water.
