Carolina Mountain Club - South Beyond 6000 Challenge

The South Beyond 6000 Challenge requires hiking forty 6,000 foot peaks in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. It was inspired by the White Mountain 4000 footers challenge and the Adirondack 46ers challenge. These mountains are in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Each hike must be at least 5 miles and have at least 500' elevation gain.

  2. Daniela, there are so many places to discover here. A few will be challenging - because you can't hike with dogs in the Smokies. I've just found a dog walker, so that we can occasionally hike there.
