Parking: Toms Creek Falls Trailhead
This hike is part of the Carolina Mountain Club Waterfall Challenge (WC 100)
Directions: The trail starts at the kiosk in the parking area. Follow the wide trail .4 miles to the falls. Return the same way.
My ankle was quite sore today, but I wanted to get out after work, so this was an easy short hike we could do. Glen read that while the trail isn't quite wheelchair accessible, it is good for the mobility challenged. That would be me today. My ankle is swollen. Yes, we drove 40 minutes each way to do a .8 mile hike. But we spent an hour hanging out at the falls. There were 2 families there as well. I forgot my crocs! I think I need to get a spare pair of crocs to keep in the car for waterfall hikes. So, I just took off my shoes, and soaked my feet at the bottom of the falls. The kids were having fun finding crawfish. Krummholz had fun chasing sticks.
