From Rosman, we started heading to Brevard, to pick up some food. Wow - there are a number of restaurants in Brevard, but many of them were closed on Sundays! We went to a grocery story called Food Matters, which has an interesting looking cafe, but the cafe had closed at 3pm. We found some things to eat though, and had a quick dinner in our car. From there, we decided to hike to Cove Creek Falls in Brevard. This hike said the drive was on a forest service road. But the road was paved. Maybe some forest roads are paved? This was another easy hike. As we hiked in, we saw a family in bathing suits, and with tubes. I'm unclear where you can go tubing though. The hike passes by a large group campsite, where 60 people can camp. The site was occupied with several RV's and tents. It reminded me of an agility trial. You have to have a vehicle capable of fording a stream to get to the campsite. I walked through the stream. Glen carefully rock hopped. I keep forgetting - I really need to bring Crocs on waterfall hikes. Many people swim or wade at the base of waterfalls. It's a popular thing to do here. We left the campground area behind, and continued to the falls. There are a mess of side trails going to different heights of the trail. The first side trail was to the top of the falls. There was a skull sign saying "Unleashed Dogs". I figured someone just didn't like unleashed dogs. But then I realized they were warning people not to let their dogs off leash there, as its dangerous, and might not be obvious to someone that its the top of the falls. We continued on the main trail down, and chose the right side trail to get to the bottom of the falls. We had the falls to ourselves, and let Krummholz fetch sticks again. He loves hikes that involve water, and didn't want to leave.

At this point we came out at the top of the falls.
And then headed down to the bottom of the falls.
