Glen and I joined a new friend for a sunset hike. As we drove up the parkway, we saw a few people at overlooks in their lawn chairs. I gave away my lawn chairs when I moved. Maybe I'll need to invest in a couple again. One of the CMC trail mainentance crew recommended this hike. It's a short easy hike that's very popular. The hike leads to a lookout with 360 degree views. There were around 15 other people out there who had the same idea as us, and its a weekday night. I didn't take any photos of the trail, but its a beautiful trail as well. As the sun started to set, it got chilly - 60 degrees. I love, love, love the fact that I can be cold in the middle of the summer on a hike. I had put on a fleece. The area north of us on the parkway is just a spectacular area.
