We went out today to re-blaze our section of the AT.  Our section got a complaint (how embarrassing!) about not being well blazed from a fellow club member. So, we decided to get on it right away. We got our blaze painting kit yesterday, and today we got to work. We were warned that it usually takes around 1 mph to do this. Glen used to love blazing when we maintained a section of trail in NY. We worked on blazing frequently there. We left Krumm at home, which worked out well. Glen got the job of scraping off the old blazes which makes new paint stick better. I followed behind and repainted the blazes. We also removed some excess blazes and added new blazes where we felt they were needed. We talked to a few thru hikers today, including one named Rolodex. Two of them took photos/videos of us, because they thought blaze painting was cool. I would have let them paint a blaze, except you know, the whole norovirus thing going on right now. It was an absolutely exhausting day. My foot is sore, and my body is tired. But a great day to be outside! I don't think of our section as having many wildflowers, but today there were!

I almost stepped on this guy

Bloodroot

Spring Beauties

Dutchman's Breeches

Sometimes we had to climb up steep ground to get to the blazes.
Glen wore a mask, because paint dust was blowing everywhere.
