Mount Major, Alton Bay, NH

Time: 2 hours 30 minutes

Parking: Large dirt parking lot, plenty of parking, Route 11, about 4 miles north of Alton Bay

Directions: Trailhead at back left side of the parking lot (orange blazes) - Boulder Loop trail to summit & back down.
Year to date miles: 212.6

Notes:
This is a very popular trail. We kept the dogs on leash due to the large number of people & dogs.
There is only water at the beginning of the trail.

We took the Boulder Loop trail, which is suppposed to be less steep.

The Boulder trail did have boulders, though fewer than the Mt Major trail according to our guide book.
