Glen liked this hike more than me. He said it would be prettier if it was a different time of year.
The downsides - lots of car noise in the beginning, and lots of car noise at the end.
I kept the dogs on leash for the last mile due to being somewhat close to a busy, noisy road.
Did someone say swimming?
The trails were very well blazed with metal blazes. However, this painted white blazed trail wasn't on our 2009 map. Don't take this trail.
View of the NYC skyline
Trek on a millstone. There was a quarry here that produced them.
There is a large patch of prickly pear cactus at the top of this hill.
We couldn't find Rattlesnake Cave - we weren't sure if we wanted to!
Moxie in front of Balanced Rock
Trek and Sitting Hen Rock. Maybe it looks more like a sitting hen from the other side?
Camp Glen Gray - a camp with several buildings which are available for rental. Primitive toilets here. In the summer there might be running water. Gravel roads around the camp.
Pretty lake at Camp Glen Gray
Nice overlook. Unfortunately a very noisy road below us.
| Glen under the shelter. There was ugly graffiti here & lots of trash near the end of the hike.
