Queretaro, Mexico - Day 2
December 6th, 2025
I spent the morning wandering around Queretaro, checking out the architecture.
I joined my friend Allen and 2 of his friends for lunch. We then stopped by a small museum with a beautiful inner courtyard called M108.
After visiting with Allen, I went to the Museo de Arte. I didn't understand the art inside, but the building itself is gorgeous. I saw a couple having wedding photographs taken inside the courtyard. Later, I sat outside the church next to it to sketch. That's where their wedding was. I saw the bride and groom coming out of the church. What a very fashionably dressed crowd. The men were so dapper and the women were stunning.
For dinner, I went to a recommended restaurant called Ndali. The waitress didn't speak English. I ordered a pizza. After I ordered, I asked her how large it was. She said family size. Oops!
She also asked if I wanted a chocolate while waiting for my pizza. I thought she meant a piece of chocolate. She arrived with a large chocolate dessert. Oops again!
The owner of the restaurant does work in salamander conservation. They have a small "museum" at the restaurant.
They had an employee who knew some English give a tour to a Mexican family and me.
