Today we traveled from Lisbon to Vila Nova de Milfontes. We took the metro from Indente to Lisboa Oriente. Then we took a 2 1/2-hour bus ride from Lisboa Oriente to Vila Nova de Milfontes.
Phyllis and I went out for lunch at Lareu Cafe, while Tara and Dian ate in. We talked to a lovely couple from New Zealand who were going to bike the Portuguese Camino. Lots of talk about politics - the couple were also concerned about our upcoming presidential election, as it affects the world. Lunch was delicious - a quinoa and marinated tofu salad.
After lunch we headed to the Silva grocery store to pick up food for dinner. We went out again and walked along the beach. My foot feels more sore today. I took some ibuprofen (the only one I took on the trip!) and did some PT exercises. We had dinner in our room this evening.
