Map:Directions:- From the visitor center, take the MST to Craggy Gardens Picnic Area. On the return trip, at the pavilion, turn right and take the spur trail to an overlook.
A rainy day, so we waited until the evening to hike. We headed up to Craggy Gardens, which is always much cooler than Asheville. We did the short hike to the picnic area. On the way back, we met a family who was looking for a sunset view. We were able to give them directions to the popular Craggy Pinnacle hike.
Before stopping at our second hike of the evening, we stopped at the Graybeard Mountain overlook.
