The second day of a 2-week trip to Colorado. Before meeting up with one of my hiking friends, I spent a couple of days in Fort Collins, Colorado, visiting Gail, one of my friends from my dog agility days in NY. We haven't seen each other in 9 years or so - the last time I went out to Colorado. It was so fun to catch up. We went for an easy hike on a trail which is also used by horses and mountain bikers. The terrain was so nice and easy compared to east coast rocks and roots. The trail goes through prairie, with mountain views. There is a lake, which seems unusual because everything here is so dry. It looks like a great place to take a dog swimming. On the way back to her house, we stopped by a dairy which was the original dairy used by Noosa yogurt. I had an iced blueberry chai tea and mango ice cream. Yum! Gail has been on a tour of the farm and said the cows are very spoiled. In the evening, we went out with Melissa and Stan, two musicians I knew from music grad school in Indiana. Melissa also does dog agility and has recently opened an agility business in Fort Collins.
