Map:Directions:- Cross the street from the overlook and take the MST. Hike to the Waterrock Knob parking area. Return the same way.
By the time we got out today, it was sprinkling. We decided to hike anyways. We headed out to do a section of the MST. At that elevation, the temperature was cool. The rain was never heavy, and it made everything look lush and green. So pretty! The star flowers of the day were the pink shell azaleas. Lots of them along the trail and hillside. Glen and I were both tired - my excuse was that my quads were sore from personal training. We hiked slowly. The trail was rocky and rooty, but we appreciated all of the steps put in by the CMC. Before finishing the hike, we let Krumm play in the water. We both really liked this hike and would definitely do it again.
