Other waterfall:
Today we went to visit the very popular Skinny Dip Falls. Unfortunately, Hurricane Fred destroyed the falls. The river was filled with boulders and trees. We didn't get to see the falls before the hurricane, so we went online to look at "before" pictures. This hike follows the MST, so we continued past the falls up to the MST Access Trail before turning around. On the way back, we took a herd path to see Yellowstone Falls. The path brought us to the top of the falls. We started down a steep trail where we could see the falls but decided not to go all the way down. We checked, and this waterfall is not on the CMC 100 Waterfall Challenge list. We continued on the MST back to Skinny Dip Falls. We took a side trail next to the river to see if there was more to see. The side trail was a mess, and there really was nothing to see. Just a landslide and lots of boulders in the river. It wasn't worth taking. This hike was a lot for my foot, and pretty challenging for me physically since I'm out of shape from not hiking. But it looks like I may be having surgery on my foot, so I want to get in as many short hikes as I can beforehand. Krumm liked taking a dip in the water, and I enjoyed looking at mushrooms.
