- The park has a map, but the resolution isn't great....looking to find a better map
- From the parking lot, do an out-and-back to Whitehouse Cliffs. The trail climbs ~950 feet in 1.1 miles and culminates in 360-degree views. After returning from the White Cliffs Trail, we will complete the Snakeden Ridge loop, a lollipop hike along the Rocky Fork, Flint Creek, and Blockstand Creek Trails. This second part of the hike is about 7.8 miles and 1200 ft. of mostly gradual elevation gain.

We joined leader Diane on a CMC hike today. The first mile was a good workout - about 1,000 feet elevation gain in the first mile. It might be a great place for training with a 20-pound pack for backpacking. Who needs a stairmaster? We reached Whitehouse Knob which had views of the surrounding mountains. Coming down was very hard for me. The leaves were very deep and there were loose rocks on the trail under them. I had a bunch of small internal meltdowns going down the knob. I spoke to no one so that I could keep myself focused on the ground and not falling. I made it down :)
We returned to the parking lot, and then started the second half of the hike. This was a more gradual lollypop. I don't mind climbing uphill at all, but still had to be very careful going downhill. Ugh. I'd love to do this hike at another time of year. Just not a great hike for me at this time of year since the leaf cover was so deep. At times it was really hard to hear people talking over the noise of everyone swishing through the leaves.
