This was supposed to be a rainy week, so today was going to be a stay home and get things done day. Taxes, house cleaning, boring stuff. But the sun came out! Forget chores, time to go hiking on Wednesday, fun day!

We headed over to DuPont to do a 100 Favorite Trails hike. We've done most of this hike before but hadn't visited Hooker Falls. What a gorgeous day. A sunny day in winter always puts me in a good mood! It was close to 70 degrees today, and dare I say, a little humid. I got hot wearing my long sleeve shirt! In February!

We had a wonderful hike. The last time we were here, the trails were very icy. The trails on this hike are very wide and well-marked. The waterfalls were gushing after our recent rain.

We stopped by this cemetery. We noticed graves of 4 children, all who died in the same year. We did some research and discovered they died of diphtheria. Thankful we have vaccines nowadays.

I cringe when I see a gravestone referring to someone as "wife of"

Many of the graves are unmarked. This one just had initials.

Very unique moss (if that's what it is) growing on this tree
