I believe this is my first full day CMC hike. Glen was finishing his drive home today, so couldn't come. A group of 6 of us headed out to Standing Indian Campground, which is near Franklin, NC. The loop is close to the AT, but not actually on the AT. This was a very pleasant hike, with a walk along the river before heading up into the woods. We had gentle climbs. It had rained all week, and we had many water crossings. One had a log crossing which looked a little too slippery, so we just walked across. I ended up giving up keeping my shoes dry, and just started wading right through all of the water crossings.
