After taking Krummholz out for a short hike, we took Trek out for a longer hike. I let Trek hike off leash. Yeah! Happy Trek, and happy me! We made decent time, but we both feel out of shape. I still have bronchitis, so I'm sure that is part of it. I'm congested and just am not breathing as well. But, we have vacations coming up, so we need to get back into hiking shape. Since we are limiting Krummholz's mileage for now, we decided we could do 2 hikes a day on weekends, one with each dog separately. We did see deer bounding through the forest. Not to worry - I think Trek is afraid of them. When he sees them, he automatically runs to me.
