Today we decided we needed an easier trail, so chose a hike on Map 144. This hike actually had more elevation gain than we were expecting. There were no long steep climbs, but just many ups and downs I guess, based on the cumulative elevation gain. At the beginning of the hike, there is a raspberry patch where the berries are just starting to ripen. We stopped and enjoyed a few. On this hike, the trail was pretty overgrown in spots. We did throw sticks off the trail, but the brush and grasses were closing in on the trail. There was some water in the area, which also meant it was buggy, especially the southern half of this hike. There were downed trees, but I figured no need to report, as this trail is maintained by a snowmobile club - and they must be interested in clearing the trail before winter.
