I got home just in time to go for a hike on Warren Wilson College trails with Glen and Krumm. We skipped a swim :( Krumm was disappointed. We did run into Dave, who told us he oversees the trail system for Warren Wilson College. He told us they have gotten a grant which will allow them to rebuild the River Trail in 2026. That area was decimated by Hurricane Helene. I asked him how we should report trail issues for the preserve. He said to reach out to the college. I'm guessing they don't have a system to report issues. Trail maintenance is done by students. Later, we ran into a group of students who were reinstalling the electric fence for cattle. They said the cattle would be returning when they are done.
