Today's hike was at the Bailey Mountain Preserve. The parking lot was full when we arrived, but luckily someone was just leaving. I guess this hike might be better on a weekday as the parking is so limited. The yellow trail is the main route to the summit. There are 3 other optional trails that could extend the hike a little. We both thought this trail was very well maintained. We noticed some nice trail repairs from a couple of large root balls. The hike is a climb with nice switchbacks all the way up. There are a handful of benches along the trail. There is one spot with a nice view about 1/4 mile up. We saw more views on the way down then on the way up. We did find a wide variety of wildflowers. There are no streams (sorry Krumm). This has been a bad year for ticks for us. I pulled 4 ticks (dead) off Krumm earlier this week. 1 tick (crawling) so far off him today. Glen and I have both found ticks on us as well this year.

We stopped at Meadowsweet Creamery on the way home. They have a new space with more room, but is right on the main road, so not a scenic place to sit outside. Their ice cream is divine.

Poor Krumm - he tried to jump on this swing before he realized it moved.
