Tara drove home today, and Dian and I had a free day to spend in Miami. We figured out the metro system to get to Vizcaya. I bought a ticket on the metro app and tried to scan my phone at the stile, but I couldn't get it to work. You can scan a credit card at the stile, so that's what we ended up doing. There is a Vizcaya metro station. As soon as we got out, we happened to be at a farmer's market which runs 2 days a week. It was great! Many vendors with lots of prepared food. Lots of vegan options too. I ended up getting lentil and potato parathas.
After eating, we headed over to the museum and walked around inside. It reminds me of the Biltmore House. Not as big of course, but very elegant. We saw multiple people taking wedding photos. We then walked around the beautiful grounds, and I stopped and sketched for a while. We spent the day there and then returned to our hotel, again more metro confusion.
