Directions: Head over to a trailhead between the ice rink and Hessian Lake. Take the Appalachian Trail to the Perkins Memorial Tower. Return the same way.

This was our last Bear Mountain hike for the year. We had planned on doing more reps, but decided it was best to go home. This was getting to the point where it was best to social distance, but it's impossible on this hike. It's a very popular steep hike, where it often isn't possible to get off the trail to maintain some sort of distance. We decided that we'd need to stop hiking here due to the pandemic, and choose other spots to hike.
