Our feet were feeling sore today. However, the good news is my shoes feel okay. Well, almost okay. I'm using the insoles that came with the shoes, and I can feel they don't have much arch support. So, I'm guessing that replacing my insoles will get rid of most of the foot pain I'm having. My foot muscles just feel sore and painful. Plus, our feet are actually sore just from walking on rocky sections. Maybe our feet just aren't broken in yet from hiking less during the winter. Today's trail was a mixture of dirt areas and rocky areas. We met Huff n' Puff again, and another hiker we saw yesterday. We went off trail a little ways to take a break at a picnic area. We wanted to take a break in the shade and get off our feet. It was 84 degrees out - I was hot! There was no leaf cover on the trees to give us shade. There were no views today until the end of the hike on Bearfence Mountain. I didn't take many photos.

Rather than blazes, these posts mark the trails. Directions are imprinted on the metal bands.
