Directions: Rochester Hollow trail, which is out and back with a figure eight in the middle.
We got a late start and were looking for an easier and shorter hike in the Catskills. This one worked great. I think it is described as a family friendly hike. I think we only saw one other person on the trail. The trails are open to mountain bikers. Sometimes the blazing was sparse, but it wasn't a problem. We did see quite a few turn blazes which indicated that the turn go in the opposite direction than the turn actually did go. The trail passes ruins, a John Burroughs memorial as well as a shelter.
