Hike description:
This hike has one paved road crossing, and another paved road at the mid-point. I can't say I really enjoyed today's hike. In a field on the right hand side in the beginning, there was amplified live music playing very loudly. I'm not sure what the event was, but there were tents and a bunch of people. We could hear the music for a long, long time. In addition, there were hordes of people on the trail climbing to the viewpoint. We stopped at the view on the blue side trail, and there were many people there sitting and relaxing. There is a large area for hanging out. The view was nice, but was not a nice place to hang out due to the loud music below. We quickly continued on. After the view, we barely saw anyone. And the trail became easier. The rest of the hike was relaxing. We had one bridged stream crossing where I had read a note online that there had been an aggressive bear there recently. Trek enjoyed wading in the stream. We passed two ponds closer to Warwick Turnpike, but they both looked like they had algae in them, so we skipped letting Trek swim in them.
