Hike description:

We left Moxie at home today, because she can't do two big hikes back to back. She is recovering from yesterday.

This hike has no road crossings, and even the parking lot at Deckertown Turnpike is off the road. We also didn't see many people today. This meant Trek got to spend most of his hike offleash, and it meant I got to use trekking poles for 3/4 of the hike - yeah! This hike has pretty rocky footing, and I got slow on rocks, so I was glad to have the poles to help out.

There isn't a lot of water on the hike, so it is best to carry as much as you need.

This hike is all wooded, but along a ridge, so there are spots with great open views.

The map at the kiosk is helpful to see the details on how to get from the parking area to the AT.
