This morning, we left Goodlettesville, TN and drove east to Burgess Falls State Park for a short hike. We've been to a few state parks in Tennessee and have enjoyed them. This park had a nearly full parking lot, and plenty of people on the trails. However, we both really enjoyed this hike. The area was so clean compared to yesterday's park. The trails were well developed and maintained, and the waterfalls (there were multiple ones) were beautiful and impressive. No safe place to let Krumm swim, but we did let him wade on leash in a couple of shallow spots. Apparently, there is a place where you can rent kayaks and kayak up to the falls. We saw some crazy people getting out of their kayaks and swimming to the base of the falls. Yikes. This is a small park - there are 2 main trail sections, this one, and another one which is about 5 miles long.

On our final drive home, we passed signs for many more state parks. I was tempted, but this was our last day of our trip, and we weren't getting home until pretty late, so no more hike stops.
